Detained at Hamburg 8/1914, served as a German Army Transport disguised as OLAF, ADOLPH ARDESSEN and MIRA,

returned to owners 2/1918.

Survived a wrecking on Alderney in 1920, further details .....

"27 May 1920 steamer EQUITY of Goole, Jersey for Hull with cargo of potatoes, went ashore on south side of Essex Hill Signal Station.  Submerged from break of focsl aft and cargo washing out - feared to be total loss.

31 May salvage steamer RANGER arrived.  Potato cargo totally ruined and lost

15 June EQUITY refloated by salvage steamer RANGER and towed into Alderney harbour following day
19 June towed to Southampton."
